March 2023 Prayer Letter

This update letter covers the month of March of this year as we are currently on the road raising support.<!–

March 2023 Update

“Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named. . .” 

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers in Christ,

      The Bible says in Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” God continues to prove Himself to us time and time again by providing our every need! This past month, we had the opportunity to be in churches in Nebraska, Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon! We are grateful for the many opportunities we have had to share the burden that God has placed in our hearts for Libby.

       While on our way back from a missions conference in Tennessee, we had the opportunity to stop by and see some friends from college that are currently serving the Lord in Nebraska for a Wednesday evening service. The following Sunday, we were back in Idaho for a missions conference. Many pastors came up as well for a monthly Pastor’s Fellowship being held at the same time as the conference and donated the money that we needed to buy new tires for the motor home! We are so thankful for all the churches that came together and gave towards this need.

       We had the opportunity to be in many different churches this month along with two missions conferences. Our support raised has gone up from 15% to 20%! Going into April, it’s as busy (if not busier) than March has been. Pray that God would continue to keep us safe as we travel and pray that the Lord would continue to open up opportunities for us to share the Gospel and our burden for Libby, Montana. Pray for Lindsay as she has an appointment with her neurologist coming up in April. Hopefully we can get some answers as she has had a couple of seizures this year already.

Update on the motor home: the money needed to buy new tires has been raised!
Safety as we have traveled thousands of miles already.
20% of the support needed already raised!

Lindsay’s Health: she has had a few seizures over the past few months. She has an appointment in April with her specialist.

For opportunities to share the Gospel as we travel.

January&February 2023 Prayer Letter

January/February 2023 Update

“Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named. . .” 

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers in Christ,
       We’ve been on the road now for just a little over a month and it’s wonderful to see how the Lord is already providing in so many ways! We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and goodness to us. It’s wonderful to know that when you step out in faith to obey God’s will that He will provide for your every need!

       Before we began deputation, we were praying and looking into possibly purchasing a small motor home to travel in and make our ‘home base’. After visiting a few RV dealerships, we were told that in order to get a loan from a bank, we would 1) have to have a residential address and a consistent source of income, or 2) have someone co-sign with us for a loan. With the first option not possible at this point, and not feeling at peace about getting a co-signer, we didn’t believe that the Lord would have us go forward with purchasing a motor home. Just a couple of weeks later, we were in a church in Kalispell, Montana. A gentleman approached us and asked where we were living for the time being. After telling him that we were just traveling from church to church and staying in the housing that was provided, he then proceeded to tell us about a motor home that he owned and he wanted us to use it – free of charge! It’s exactly like the motor home that we wanted to purchase, but it has more space and storage. We are amazed at the goodness and faithfulness of our God! It has made traveling for our family much easier and for that we are grateful.

       We began deputation in January by presenting at our sending church, Maranatha Baptist Church in Ashland, Ohio. From there, we have traveled to churches in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Tennessee. We thank the Lord for His goodness to us as we have had many churches take us on for support!

       At the end of February, we had the opportunity to be in a missions conference in Tennessee. The preaching and time of fellowship with friends was exactly what we needed to encourage us and refuel us as we head back out west to continue deputation! As of now, we are at 15% monthly support! We are excited for this upcoming month, as we will be in several churches and two missions conferences.
